End of the road for Share(d) 🎬

Reading time : 4 min

We wish we'd never had to write this blog post.

After 7 years at your side, we're about to part ways… Share(d) will effectively end its services on October 13, 2023.

Many thanks to you!

Together, we've designed the all-in-one application that makes it easier for parents to share and organize their daily lives. We're proud to have helped tens of thousands of families around the world get organized, share tasks and communicate with ease.

From the outset, your messages of encouragement and thanks have been a real driving force in our fight to lighten the mental load of all parents and make their lives easier.

Even the most "grumpy" messages 🤣 we read with attention and with the desire to always improve to bring you even more added value.

We hope we've brought new ideas to help all families and opened the door to new uses; unfortunately, Share(d)'s will soon be closing. 💔

Despite the support we've received from thousands of Premium Plan subscribers, despite the trust our investors have placed in us right up to the end (and we thank them sincerely!), despite all our hard work and efforts over the last few years, it is with a heavy heart that we are about to bring our service to an end. Indeed, we have not managed to break even.

From this crazy adventure, which took us from COOT to Share(d), we'll always remember the good times we had as a team, and the warm exchanges with you, the users of the application. A huge THANK YOU for all your support over the years!

Last but not least, thanks to our partners who have been with us every step of the way and made this adventure possible (the translators 🥰, the bankers 🫶, the first web designers and developers 🙌 and everyone else… 😇)

We sincerely wish you all the best. 💙

Alexandra, Maëlle, Jérémie, Benjamin, Olivier and Anthony

And now what?

To help you through this transition process, we have set aside a period of six weeks (until October 13, 2023) to allow you to recover all the information stored on Share(d).

On this day, your account will be automatically deleted and your personal data erased.

How can I recover the data recorded on Share(d)?

To simplify the procedure, we've unlocked the application's Premium features for all Share(d) users and developed specific functionalities.

Now you can export all the data stored on Share(d)!

From the Home widget or the Profile tab ("Export my data"), you'll be able to download :

  • 📆 All custody schedules, events and calendar reminders to which you are linked, i.e. stored in your Circles or on which you are marked as "responsible"/"participant". You can download an .ics file and re-import it into the calendar of your choice, where you'll find all your information.
  • ⚖️ All Budget Tracking transactions created within your Circles, in the form of a .csv file containing all information related to your expenses and reimbursements.
  • 📝 All your shopping & todo lists, in the form of a .csv file containing all your products and tasks.

Finally, as for your Conversations, Documents and Photo Albums saved on Share(d), we recommend that you download them one by one, directly in the application's dedicated functionalities. 🔐

How can I cancel my Premium subscription or get a refund?

As you may have seen when you subscribed, we are obliged to use the Apple Store and Google Play Store payment systems to collect subscriptions, and we are unable to unsubscribe on behalf of our users on these platforms.

💎 To cancel your Share(d) Premium subscription, go to your app store and manage your account and subscriptions.

💸 Any refund request for your Share(d) Premium subscription must also be made directly on Google Play or the Apple Store.

How do I close my Share(d) account?

From October 13, 2023, your Share(d) account will be automatically deleted and your personal data erased.

❌ However, if you wish, you can delete your account yourself: go to the "Profile" tab in the application and click on "Edit my profile", then on the "…" icon at the top right of the screen. Finally, select "Delete my account" and validate. All information linked to your Share(d) account will be deleted.

What alternative solutions can I opt for?

Having listened to you over the last few years, we're well aware of how much the organization of your family life weighs on your day-to-day life and on your mind. We know how painful it can be to change partner, but if we can't continue on our way with you, we recommend FamilyWall app, which should be able to meet your expectations.

We thank you again and wish you all the best for the future!
